1. What cookies are
A cookie is a small text file a website asks your browser to store, so that it can recognise you or remember something later. Local storage, pixels and tracking scripts do similar jobs. The law treats them all the same, and so does this policy: where we say “cookies” we mean all of them.
2. What this website uses
This website sets no cookies of its own and stores nothing on your device. It does not use advertising, social media tracking or anything that follows you across other websites. That is why you have not been asked to accept any cookies.
Visitor statistics
We count visits using Cloudflare Web Analytics. When a page loads, a small script from
static.cloudflareinsights.com reads the timing information your browser already records about that
page load and sends it, with the page address and the site you came from, to Cloudflare. We see totals only:
pages viewed, referring sites, countries, device types and page speed.
- Cloudflare states that it uses no cookies or local storage for this, does not fingerprint your device and does not use the data to identify or track you.
- We use the figures only to improve this website and understand which pages are useful. They are not used for advertising or shared for any other purpose.
- The law allows statistics collected solely to improve a website without asking first, provided we tell you about it and you can object.
To opt out, block static.cloudflareinsights.com with your browser's tracking
protection or a content blocker. Most privacy extensions block it already. The site works exactly the same
without it.
You can check this yourself: open the site in a private window and look at the storage panel in your browser's developer tools.
3. Security cookies from our hosting provider
This website is hosted by Cloudflare. To protect the site from automated attacks, Cloudflare can set a strictly necessary security cookie if it needs to check that a visit comes from a person rather than a bot. These cookies do not identify you, are not used for advertising, and do not follow you to other websites.
| Name | Set by | Purpose | Expires |
|---|---|---|---|
| __cf_bm | Cloudflare | Distinguishes people from bots so the site stays available | 30 minutes |
| cf_clearance | Cloudflare | Remembers that you passed a security check, if you were shown one | Up to 1 year |
Under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations, strictly necessary cookies do not need your consent. They are only set when Cloudflare's security checks require them.
4. If this changes
If we ever add anything that would store information on your device for another purpose, we will update this policy first. Anything that needs your consent will stay switched off until you agree, refusing will be as easy as accepting, and nothing will be pre-selected.
5. Controlling cookies in your browser
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and most browsers let you refuse third-party cookies entirely. Help is available for Chrome, Safari, Firefox and Edge.
